Seeds in the Garden

In spring, our class plants seeds in the school garden. We dig small holes in the dark soil. Each student drops in one seed and covers it gently. We water the rows with a green hose. Sun and rain help the seeds wake up. Tiny green shoots push through the ground. Leaves unfold like small flags. We measure how tall the plants grow each week.

A Walk in the Woods

We take a nature walk on a pine-scented trail. Tall trees reach toward the sky. Moss covers some rocks like a green blanket. A squirrel scampers up a trunk and hides in the branches. We hear a stream bubbling over stones. Our guide points to a woodpecker knocking on a dead tree. We stop to listen and breathe the fresh air. Leaves crunch under our boots.
